How They Get In
- Herbs and dry goods carry eggs from procurement and transport.

How to Get Rid of Them
- Pre-Treatment: Inspect all herbs, spices, and dry goods. Discard infested items. Seal sound items in glass containers. Vacuum cabinets.;
- Key Zones: Herb cabinet drawer joints, bookcase joints, storage cabinet corners, baseboards.;
- Application: Spot-spray joints. Never on herbs or food.;
- Post-Treatment: Close 1-2 hours, ventilate 1+ hour. Freeze new herbs at -18 C for 72 hours.;
- Prevention: Seal all herbs and spices in glass/metal. Buy small quantities. Regularly clean cabinets and bookshelves.
Prevention & Follow-Up
Transfer all dried herbs and spices into sealed glass or metal jars after purchase. Seal high-value herbs and store them in the refrigerator or freezer for long-term pest protection. Check your herbs and spices regularly — if you see signs of beetle damage, isolate and throw away the affected items right away. Clean crumbs and dust out of herb cabinets and storage shelves regularly. Place food-grade desiccant packs in herb cabinets to keep the environment dry.
